My old sash window is painted shut and one pane is cracked. Can that be fixed?
Often, yes. If the sash and frame are in decent shape, a cracked pane can be replaced without replacing the whole window. Built-up paint, loose glazing or rot can complicate things, so photos of the entire window help us tell whether it's a simple window glass replacement or a bigger repair.
